Aid for Afghan Refugees

Dear Friends and Families of North Pointe,

We will continue to collect warm clothing, particularly for children.  They can be put in the collection boxes in the church entry.  We are also collecting personal care items, toiletries such as shampoo, bar soap, deodorant, feminine thin pads, toothpaste and toothbrushes.

All clothing and footwear items must be new.  The exception is that GENTLY USED  warm coats for adults and children are accepted and are urgently needed.

There is a way to help the evacuees at Fort McCoy.  You can also directly order items most needed by the Afghanistan Evacuees through Amazon.  Simply click on the link below in this message and you can order items that are sorely needed, winter wear for adults and children.  The prices for new things are reasonable, sizes, how much has been already purchased, and what is still needed.  Your order will be shipped directly to Fort McCoy and Amazon will notify you by email of your delivery. Mary Ann and Jim Furrie have done this..and it works JUST GREAT.
